I have awful working memory. When I consume any kind of media which I intend to learn from I have to take notes otherwise I may as well have never consumed that media in the first place. This issue is glaring with podcast because I almost exclusively listen to them while mobile. Snipped allows me to easily revisit things that resonate with me and then I can export those moments to something like Readwise and bike extension Obsidian. It's hard to express the mental load this takes off of me.

I love being able to take snips to take notes on podcasts. A few problems that prevent it from being a five star app: I can't seem to change the playback speed from Android auto, and the S button doesn't seem to do anything there (or maybe it did but just didn't provide any useful visual feedback). There's also no home screen widget. Finally, when you change where a snip starts and ends, you should have the option to either regenerate or edit the ai generated takeaways.

You can change the playback speed on the app & will also be valid for Android Auto. To change your playback speed, go to You > Settings > Player > Playback speed. The S button is actually the Create Snip button. Your snips from the drive will show up in Saved. If a snip is edited for +/- 30 secs, takeaways will regenerate. Hope this helps! :)

Great app! Honestly, this could be the future of podcasting. The digestibility of podcasts in smaller bits, AI-generated chapters, there's a lot going for it. My main issue with this app is that on Android, the transcript seems incredibly unreliable. I have tried this on multiple devices using the same podcasts, and I have used iOS to do the same, and the problem seems to be Android-specific. But if this app expands to more users and they fix this issue, I will be very, very pleased.

For new episodes, you will now be able to see the guest info. If you click on the guest, you'll see all of the other episodes of the guest as well as similar guests
Follow guests to see all their latest episodes in the new "Guests" episode list on the podcast screen
You can also discover & search guests by their name. You can see all your snips grouped by guests on the "Your snips" screen by clicking on the guest filter
Bug fix: headphone skip chapter getting stuck at the end
